Barrhead Gala Day on Saturday 4th June 1988 was one of the most successful helped mainly by the great weather and the combination of the World Pipe Band Championships.It began as usual with the float procession up Cross Arthurlie Street and along the Main Street led by the Neilston & District Pipe Band and to Cowan Park.
