Barrhead Gala Day 1985.
Barrhead Gala Day on the 1st June 1985 was another testimony to the hard working committee who brought all the activities to the Cowan Park on a very sunny day. They included the parade and float procession through the town followed by all the usual events such as the bonny baby competition, the Craigie Race, pub pram push and various sporting events. It culminated with the march past of all the members who participated in the pipe band championships. On the Sunday afterwards a charity football competition took place in Dunterlie Park between the Arthurlie Inns and Club Arthurlie. Pictures by Stephen Mansfield.
